In the 1920 's, these countries were united under the rule of Victor Emmanuel II. When Benito Mussolini established the Fascist authoritarian regime, the era of the National Assembly regime ceased for Hitler's new alliance with Germany. During the Second World War Benito Mussolini and Italy failed due to a new alliance with Nazi Germany.

In the 14th century, Italy split between Southern Naples and Sicily, Central Italy's Pope Kingdom and the North Sea Republic. The principality of Milan has established itself as the focal point of European power politics in the 15th century. And it led to the continuation of the Italian war. Black plague devastated Europe in the 1340s and 1950s and substantially eliminated half of the continent's population. Especially harmful is that most of the victims are young people and they have left the population structure of "hourglass" during their main service years. But it should also be noted that in Medieval Europe, the "pyramid" population of most people under the age of 45 is generally considered to be completely incorrect.

Italy has been a democratic republic since 1946, with a population of about 58 million. It is surrounded by the Tyrrhenian Sea in the west and the Adriatic Sea in the east. President of Italy (Presidente della Repubblica) serving Sergio Mattarella since 2015 is the prime minister of Italy. The president was elected by the Italian parliament and several regional voters at a joint meeting for seven years. Italy has enacted democratic constitution. This is the result of the Constitutional Council consisting of representatives of all the anti-fascists factions that led to the failure of the Nazis and Fascists during the Civil War.
