The Intolerable Acts

The intolerable act was the provision of a series of laws (5) adopted by settlers through the British Parliament after the Boston Tea Party in 1774. Their purpose was to punish the settlers by bringing a large amount of tea to Boston Harbor (AKA Boston Tea Party). In the UK these laws are called mandatory acts.

The unbearable behavior adopted in 1774 was a combination of four mandatory acts aimed at punishing 1773 colonists, the Boston tea ceremony and the irrelevant Quebec law. American settlers believe that unbearable behavior is a blueprint that deprives Britain of the American representative government plan. They are the driving force of the first Continental Congress.

Between the Stamp Duty Tax Law and the Declaration of Independence, the UK passed more taxes. We call this "unbearable behavior".
