The Information Society in the Republic of Moldova (RM)

The purpose of this paper is to discuss and evaluate the possibility of Republic of Moldova (RM) as a fair information society (IS), but the term information society does not have mutually agreed definitions, Concepts often involve a series of assumptions (Webster), 2007). The purpose of this paper is to make the information society a prospect for technology to play an essential role in economic growth and social work. Economic assessment of wealth data of the country is very poor, according to a survey by the Eastern European country Moldova of the former Soviet Union, GDP per capita is about 2,203 dollars (

The information access law of the Republic of Moldova was approved by the National Assembly in May 2000 and took effect in August 2000. According to law, citizens and inhabitants of Moldova can request information from national agencies, public budgets, and organizations funded by individuals. A public corporation and a corporation holding official information. The law on access to information was passed on February 8, 2013. It suggests to recognize the purpose of the law, the right to access the information, the procedure to obtain the information, and the problems related to compliance.
