From the early 1900's to the late 1800's, the American media formed the first true form. The daily newspaper was always part of the United States, but in the coverage of 1880 and 1890, like the Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper came to be the first major foothold of mass media. These publishers, especially Hurst, utilized US participation in diplomacy. Mr. Hurst convinced the audience that the army was forced to respond because the American ship sank during the war between Spain and the Americans.
Impact on the sports of mass media: When the spread of influence on the sports of mass media spread not only to the two people but also to tens of millions of people, it is called mass media. Mass media is known as the central nervous system of society. "Mass media has a variety of purposes such as providing information, entertainment, persuasion, ambiguous cultural functions to millions of people" (Frederick 18). In order for mass media to exist, audiences must be present.
Mass media was always an integral part of Canadian life. Its early development was mainly due to the relationship between France and the UK, which later caused the rise of the media under the influence of the United States. Mass media is a way to link Canadian core institutions and social and cultural understanding with technology, industry and urbanization. In this article I have looked at the development of Canadian mass media from the mid-19th century to the 1930s and focused on the advancement of early technologies, particularly supported by newspapers, magazines, advertisements, radio and movies.
Before discussing the impact of mass media on society, three basic functions of the mass media must be explained; they provide news / information, entertainment and education. The main function of social media is to provide news and information to the public. Therefore, the present era is also called the information age. People need news / information for a variety of reasons, both for socialization, for making decisions, and for expressing opinions. Entertainment is another feature of mass media. Mass media is going to be used commonly for people to entertain in today's busy environment. The right to educate the public, moral, social and religious obligations are another important function of the mass media and need not be emphasized.
