The Infamous Dred Scott Decision

According to the Declaration of Independence, signed in 1776, "Everyone is equal, and their creator gives them certain nontransferable rights, including the pursuit of life, freedom and happiness." Everyone is expected to have the right to freedom. That applies to all Caucasians. However, African Americans face a very different reality. They are still forced to become slaves and they are deprived of the right all men should have.
