The Industrial Revolution took place in England in the 18th century and then spread throughout Europe. It has entered a new era when work such as textile work and agriculture is handled by machines faster and more efficient than people. This mechanization has enabled mass production of many things that can improve the lives of many people; however, people no longer needed for agricultural labor have no job. During this time, the family needed to enter their crowded city away from their comfortable farm life and home to find work.
The aim of this paper is to compare the first industrial revolution in the 17th and 18th centuries with the second industrial revolution in the mid-18th and mid-19th century. Here, we highlight the transition from the first revolution to the second revolution, focusing on the existence of gigantic enterprises and the role of science and technology in economic activities.
