The importance of sex education for young people is well demonstrated (1). According to the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), sex education affects the attitude, belief, interaction, intimacy of young people (2). In the world, people experience sexual maturity early and marry at a later age; therefore, they are more likely to engage in sex before marriage. In addition, sexual education in this group is very important as young people and adolescents are more vulnerable to sexually transmitted diseases (3). In Iran, sex education is controversial as additional marriages are prohibited legally, culturally, religiously (4). Furthermore, many people with specific ethics are concerned about being sexually active by adolescent sex education (5).

Background: Literature around the world has sufficiently documented the importance of sex education for young people, but sex education is controversial in Iran. The purpose of this study was to explore Iranian women's views and opinions on the pros and cons of sex education. METHODS: In this qualitative survey, we interviewed 41 young women between the ages of 18 and 35. Data is collected through focus group discussions and personal interviews. Regular data analysis is used for data analysis. To raise the severity of learning, various data collection methods, maximum fluctuation sampling, and peer review are used.
