Water is the most precious resource on our planet. Billions of gallons of water are flowing through our rivers and lakes. Humans consume millions of gallons a day. Our world has 70% water on its surface. There are lots of water around us, so one billion people still can not get clean water (Cooper). People are using 54% of all freshwater on the planet (Cooper, Water Shortages). We can not ignore essential things to survive.

Our water resources have important environmental, social and economic value for the state of New South Wales, and such resources will lose their value if the water quality declines. Water quality is not only important to protect public health. Water provides ecological habitat for agriculture, fishery and mining, contributing to recreation and sightseeing. Water quality is closely related to surrounding environment and land use. In addition to the form of water vapor, water is never pure, it is affected by community applications such as agriculture, urban and industrial use, and recreation. Changes in natural rivers caused by dams and dams also affect water quality. Especially in the arid regions such as Australia that are susceptible to droughts, the weather may also have a significant impact on water quality.
