The Importance of Implementing a Charge Nurse Development Program

With today's medical structure, care-insufficient organizations use paid nurses as gatekeepers to manage the day-to-day operations of the organization. According to Platt & Foster (2008), the responsible nurse's role is important to provide high quality care and effective rate management. However, many nurses are promoted to roles that do not have official management preparation and leadership skills, and in some cases you may not want to manage them. Sherman (2005) proposes increasing the leadership and confidence by providing formal and organized educational programs, and increasing the frustration and satisfaction of employees who work as nurses.

An important element in the development and growth of the NP program is the introduction of a one-year plan to demonstrate that nurses are key health care workers. It was conducted at the University of Ontario by 10 university partnership in the early 2000s. The University of Ontario of Alliance currently includes that program in each master's course, and the nurse practiceer program has been upgraded to the master's program.
