The Importance of Art Education

Many people believe that schools are only aimed at teaching analytical concepts such as mathematics and literature, and art education is often underestimated. However, studies have found that even in elementary, junior high and high school students, the art course is important. These art courses include not only visual art but also performing arts such as dance, drama and chorus. "Art is not merely for entertainment but to challenge thinking, provoking, disturbing, and always seeking the truth" (quotation).

Anne Baruth taught at Appleton's high school pointed out in her article "The importance of art education" that art is a dialogue without grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary choices. We often know that communication of painting and painting is the first form of communication for people with disabilities. You can see exactly the influence of art on people trying to communicate in language.

Art education is an indispensable part of all people's development. Starting with Plato, those who studied the learning process at all ages highlighted the importance of art in the educational process. Art education is education of music, dance, drama, visual art. Art research is an integral part of our society. They are part of all the cultural heritage of the Americans. Art is our most humane and perfect person. In addition to mathematics and science, art can not be learned by occasional or random exposure. Art education and participation are an important part of school curriculum and are an important part of Katy ISD's educational program for each student.

The first act and the art world in Arizona celebrated the National Art Education Week to raise awareness about the importance of art in student success. Art, at home, at school and in the community, art is an important part of perfect education. From kindergarten to university, creative elderly students, students of all ages benefit from artistic learning, innovative thinking and creativity. When we celebrate the National Art Education Week together, we recognize the transformational power of art and show our collective support for art priorities in education.
