The Impacts of Crime in Today's Society

Large and small crime is an obvious or unclear illegal act affecting all. A person committing a crime is called a criminal. Crime affects our lives everyday. You can not read the evening news if you do not hear some kind of report about the crime. Crime falls into two categories: misdemeanor and felony. Mild crime is a crime that is not so serious. For example, speeding violations, public drunkenness, trespassing, obscene exposure are considered contempted acts. Felony is a more serious crime.

Crime is one of the most pressing problems facing society today, and the number, type and severity of crime is strongly influenced by alcohol. Alcohol has three main ways to influence crime. Poisoning in an inappropriate environment can be a crime such as drinking in a public place or driving under the influence (DUI). Alcohol abuse increases the possibility of committing certain crimes such as violence and homicide by reducing deterrence and judgment and strengthening excitement and anger. Finally, as some victims of crime such as children and sexual abuse, some people are more likely to develop alcoholism.

Perhaps the most inappropriate field of criminology is the role of society in promoting certain kinds of crimes such as domestic violence, hatred crime, sexual assault. In the past century, most societies are acquainted with everyone regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation and religion. However, the extensive history of inequality and violence definitely shapes the definition of crime and plays a role in the kinds of crimes that are widespread in every particular society. For example, many theorists believe that the proportion of violent crime in the United States is relatively high, I believe that it can be attributed to violent culture born especially from its hostile solutions.
