Samples for this study were selected from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman of Kampar campus. According to the UTAR entrance and credit evaluation department, there are approximately 12,700 students at the UTAR Kampar campus, including seven universities, including foundation research centers. However, this research focuses only on undergraduate students. To do this research, 100 questionnaires were offered to students and students from the Department of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, School of Business Administration, School of Business Finance, and Faculty of Information and Communication Technology. As different teachers did not use variables for research, questionnaires were distributed to students from different teachers. The reason for choosing these faculty members is to ensure that there are various people in different disciplines, namely language, science, art, business and ICT.

Current research is only for students of Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) in Kampar, Perak State. In this study, sample size is one of the limitations. The sample size is relatively small. Because it is limited to students entering the library of Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) in Zhangzhou. Therefore, it is difficult to represent the students as a whole in this survey. In addition, this study does not identify all students at Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) as only 100 students are selected as research samples.

This is a similar study on UTAR, focusing on Facebook's purpose and its impact on student performance. The objective of this study was to understand how Facebook influences UTAR Kampar student's academic performance and to explore their view on how Facebook's use affects their academic experience was. Furthermore, in this survey, we also decided whether there is gender difference between men and women when using Facebook and CGPA levels.

This research is also important to understand how students at UTAR Kampar campus spend time on Facebook and how it affects school performance in schools. When students spend too much time on Facebook, they may get stuck in it. You can use the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS) to further study the Facebook addiction level at UTAR Kampar campus students. This means that UTAR Kampar campus students spend a lot of time on Facebook to influence the CGPA level. Participants did not have big gender differences in using Facebook, but boys students spent more time on Facebook and their academic performance was reported to be lower than female students at UTAR Kampar campus . It is worth noting that the use of Facebook at high interest rates is addictive and can pose many problems for students, including self-esteem and social problems in life.
