The Impact of the Oil and Natural Gas Industry in Oklahoma

From Moore Town to emerging cities, the Oklahoma state oil discovery gave great benefits to the state industry. When oil blew out of the tower, it all began in a small town in Bartlesville. From there, a new oil company worldwide chose Oklahoma as the basis for their industry. By the 1920s, Oklahoma won the title "World Oil Large City." In this "golden age", Oklahoma has become a house of thousands of jobs and companies. Petroleum production slowed down in the 1950s, but oil production increased again around 1979 when demand for oil grew rapidly.

Frankly, Oklahoma can not do it without you. Yes, you gave the state a lot, but you also received a lot of things - most civic resources, labor and second natural support for decades. Oklahoma's oil and gas industry should decide more important things. Become a member of this community, become a member of this family, or it is time to sacrifice it for "shareholder value".
