The purpose of this study was to investigate the contribution of various aspects of adolescent's attention to the academic pressure of young people in Singapore. Data were obtained using two self-declared indices: adolescent focus measurement and academic expectation stress scale. In this survey we examined the problems of four different aspects of youth's interests, family, individuals, colleagues, and school. Gender differences are also explored based on these predictions and the academic pressure experienced by the adolescent. The results obtained show that only personal attention scale scores are positively correlated with academic pressure caused by self and other expectations of teenage girls. For girls, school-related problems can also predict academic pressure from other expectations. On their academic expectation stress scale their score is also significantly higher than that of boys. We proposed a possible explanation of the result obtained and discussed the meaning of discovery

Juan etc. (2008) conducted a study on "the influence of adolescent concerns on academic stress". Data were obtained using two self-reported measures: adolescent focus measurement and academic expectation stress scale.
