I arrived at Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights around 3 pm. March 7, 2014 I am Chinese, but my family has not practiced Buddhism, so I have never been to this temple before. This is my first time to collect data on his Rye temples. This approach is known as an anthropological approach for gathering data by observing participants, living with others, acquiring their languages, and understanding their culture (Arenson and Miller-Thayer, 521) .
Another American Buddhist organization is Shirai Temple in Hacienda Heights, California. Hsi Lai is the US headquarters of Taiwanese modern Buddhist organization Fo Guang Shan. Built in 1988, Hsi Lai costs 10 million dollars and is said to be the largest Buddhist temple in the Western Hemisphere. It is primarily targeted at Chinese-Americans, but there are also regular English services and outreach programs. Hsi Lai is the center of vice president Al Gore's participation in financial conflict
Ongoing research is purely observational research. The study was conducted at Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights. The temple was originally the branch office in Los Angeles in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (Foguang Mountain). Hsi Lai Temple is about 102,432 square feet. The translated word Hsi Lai means "Westward". This temple symbolizes the devotion of Buddhist group of Foguang Mountain, spreading teachings of Buddha to Westerners. It is also a bridge for cultural exchange between the East and the West.
