The Horror that Are Child Soldiers

Forced labor of child soldiers caused many psychological trauma. Up to 90% acknowledged that when an organization called War Child interviewed their rescued children they needed psychological assistance and support to deal with what they saw or did . According to one study, rescued children often repeat nightmares, sorrows, violent images, and thought of disturbing. Children who are obliged to commit victims of terrible crime or crime are most psychologically damaged.

This graphic novel is based on a novel of the same name and received the 2009 Arthur Elise Award. The author spent a certain period of time in Uganda and created a true record of terrorist incidents by child soldiers and their victims. Daniel Lafrance's eye-catching artworks and powerful sentences capture the essence of children's soldiers' lives. This unique picture book was published jointly with Amnesty International to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the signature of the human rights declaration presented by David Tennant and John Boyne. A lot of work is done to prevent the use of child soldiers, and in some countries there is a demobilization program. There are children's movements and programs to use children's alliances, the International Red Cross Society Committee, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and UNICEF. There are also a number of international mechanisms, including the United Nations Alternative Protocol on the Rights of the Child, which forces the recruitment of children under the age of 18 and prohibiting them from participating in armed conflict is illegal.

Child soldiers are not different from child offenders. Child soldiers are responsible for the most brutal and violent war acts. In Sierra Leone, child soldiers raped, cut, and mass killed a citizen. According to most domestic laws, the age of criminal liability is much lower than 18 years old, and in the United States criminal liability can be as low as 8 years old. If a child is convicted of murder under domestic law they are also responsible for international crimes. Just because that crime happened during wartime should not be so

Many children volunteer for patriotism to volunteer to become soldiers during wartime and revenge on the death of their families. Being a soldier is also a way to earn money. If a child voluntarily becomes a soldier, they should be responsible for the action taken in this role. It is wrong to say that all child soldiers are forced to fight, or they can not control their behavior. Many children are responsible for planning or ordering war crimes and human rights abuses, with command by their armed groups / military. Because these kids know exactly what they are doing, they should not be exempted from their behavior just because they are considered too young to take responsibility.
