John Glover Roberts Jr, 59 was born in Buffalo, New York on January 27, 1955. He is the only son of John G. "Jack" Glover Sr. and Rosemary Podrasky Roberts. His ancestors were Irish, Welsh, Czech (Odward). In 1959, his family moved to Long Beach, Indiana, where he first went to the Catholic elementary school (Notre Dame de Paris) and then to the private Catholic boarding school (La Rumière, La Port, Indiana). John then entered Harvard University and became a professor of history. He graduated with honors at Harvard University and studied at Harvard Law School just three years later.
