Athletics, also known as athletics, made significant progress since the birth of Olympus Mountain in the 9th century BC. Doping has played an important role in the history of modern athletics. The stimulant sponsored by the state using hormones and anabolic steroids in East Germany showed the rise of women in the German athletics from the late 1960s to the 1980s. Some of them like Mary Takoh broke the world record and was a great success at the international convention. Several athletes follow the doping program during their teens years and are suffering from serious health problems due to political power. At the Seoul Olympics in 1988, Ben Johnson established a new world record at 100 meters, but was later prohibited from using anabolic steroid hormones. In the first decade of the middle of the 21st century the BALCO scandal eventually resulted in the collapse of famous Sprinters such as Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery through the use of banned substances.
