The History of Montserrat

The history of Montserrat is constantly characterized by its instability at the time of its discovery and today it is a British affiliated overseas territory. Due to the extensive attention to independence issues residents of Montserrat are still uncertain about their ability to maintain their economic development and survive without UK economic aid. Geography of Montserrat has always threatened the people of the island, and their lives largely depend on the lands they live in.

Montserrat island is known as "Emerald Island in the Caribbean" because it was founded by Irish refugees of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Montserrat is one of three places of St. Patrick's Day holiday, Ireland and Canada's Newfoundland State and Labrador State. The vacation at Montserrat is also to commemorate the failed slave riots that took place on March 17, 1768. Astronauts of the International Space Station celebrated the festival in various ways. Catherine Coleman born in Ireland played the flute 100 years ago belonging to Matt Molloy and belonged to Paddy of St. Patrick's Day 2011 Space Station in 2011. Paddy Moloney's tin whistle is a member of the Irish music group chief ten team. Her performance was later included in the track titled "The Chieftain of The Orta" of the band's album "Voice of Ages".

After a quiet sleep for 400 years, the Soufrière volcano (Fig. 1) on Montserrat island in the Caribbean Sea revived in the summer of 1997. Volcanic eruptions threaten the original 11 thousand inhabitants of the island and continue today even despite the imminent danger of warning, but that continues for the remaining 4,000 people refusing to leave the island It is annoying to people. At least 20 people were murdered and some villages were destroyed. The Montserrat Volcano Observatory analyzes active volcanoes and provides information to island scientists and residents (Montserrat Volcano Observatory 12).
