History of contemporary women and body art I personally chose to live broadcast this body art as I think this topic is very complicated and funny. For that reason, I decided to narrow down my field survey. I will focus on this trend and evolution of body art related to contemporary women in this report. Speaking of contemporary women, they are women from the 18th century to the present. I decided to focus on women's special attention, because the strong social pressure particularly requires them to play a role, and it seems like a special way in aesthetics.
From ancient times to contemporary art, the excess of women's body has always existed. Our Paleolithic ancestors made various women's sculptures and statues emphasizing the sexual part of the body such as the chest, stomach, buttocks. An oversized part of these parts represents men's wishes and hopes. In 1486, Sandra Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" idealized the image of the body by drawing long, sweet hair, soft skin, big breasts. This is extreme, as the focus of the Renaissance is in Christian-themed art and naked ladies rarely showed up. This is the beginning of Western art which keeps female nude.
Art is the human world: exploring women's underdisplay and sex in history
Even in the later stages of human history, women are always the focus of social concern. The body image of a woman is always highly appreciated by various artists. Many of them draw female bodies in their work. These works of art influence the recognition of the image of the body of the people. In addition, at some point these artworks are the standard for many people doing everything to have a similar body shape. However, at the moment, men are carrying out various political or military duties that do not need to pay much attention to their body. Instead, men are focusing on the body of a woman. So, so many antique art depicts women.
