Joseph Ratzinger was born on 16th April 1927 at Marktl am Inn in Germany. His father and mother are training Catholics and hard-working people. Joseph's father was a German cop and his mother was a chef. When Joseph grew up, he liked study and outdoor activities. Joseph and his family often changed their home because of the political turmoil of the German government after World War I during his childhood. That family eventually lived in Traunstein in Germany. There, Joseph is thinking about his hometown today.
Before Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger got into the throne of Pope Benedict XVI in 2005, he was investigating the disturbing case of a virgin named Marshall Matiel. When Pope Benedict XVI started his pope, he probably promised to directly address the Marshall - to clean up the "dirty" of the church. Although the name "Marcial Maciel" is not the last name of the United States, it belongs to the Latin American countries, Maciel is considered synonymous with the Catholic sexual abuse scandal. In the United States, Massiel did not receive much report because the media is paying more attention to pastors and other clergy who committed sexual abuse in American cities like Boston and Philadelphia.
In an interview with the 5th Latin American and Caribbean Bishop Conference in Brazil in May 2007, Pope Benedict XVI (Former Chief of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger) answered questions about the current Brazilian liberation theology index. And explained his intention behind the 1984 text on the theology of liberation. . . . There is also a difficult but legitic space to discuss how to achieve the social doctrine of the Church and how to make it work well. In this respect, some liberation theologians are moving forward and trying to stick to this road, others are taking other positions. In any case, Magisterium's intervention is not to compromise the promise of justice, but to guide it to the right way and to respect the correct differences between political responsibility and the responsibilities of the Church.
