At 9 o'clock in the evening, I go to school from 8 am to 12 noon, then I will go to work from 1 pm to 9 pm. That's it. This is every day for me, my only thought is to take off my shoes and sit down and relax. I do not want to stand on the stove or do something, my first thought is through a quick and convenient meal. Shopping at a grocery store is a big difference compared to the time I spend waiting for food in a car.
Junk food is a light food slang with low nutritional value. This food usually contains high sugar, high calorie, salt and fat. Fast food and junk food are characterized by high levels of calories in fat and sugar, including minor amounts of minerals, protein, vitamins. Generally, foods considered junk foods include candies, chewing gums, fried snacks, salty snack foods, sweet carbonated drinks, and desserts.
Furthermore, the definition of junk food is controversial. Many people think junk food is soda, pastry, pizza, potato chips, other high sugar, high fat food. Other high fat foods like cheeseburger are often suspected to be junk food. Amazingly, the fingers of pizza, cheeseburger, soda and fried chicken are the foods that are offered at most school dining halls and vending machines. Before considering junk food bans, the government must first clarify what junk food is. In addition, the school system is designed to teach children to make choices. Thus, when governments and other authorities make a perfect decision to prohibit junk food, children making up consumer organizations can not make decisions as anticipated. Such movements will rob the children from their ability to choose what they want. The best way is to teach the children what the healthy foods are and to let them choose the food they eat themselves.
Does the school need to allow junk food? Junk food is often defined as "highly processed food and soft drink meal" (Wiles et al., 2009, p. 1). According to the definition, junk food contains artificial food coloring and preservatives such as fast food, oily food, snacks, high sugar drinks etc. Students usually eat snacks between meals. According to McPhail et al. (2011), In the past 20 years, student's snack habits increased. This means that students are taking more junk food.
