The Heliocentric Theory vs. The Catholic Church

Heliocentric Catholic Church We are seeing the world today as a planet turning around the earth and the sun. Of course, that is not the case. Aristotle created a model in which everything surrounds us and creates models of the Earth-centered of the known universe since God created the earth and mankind. Because this model is centered on God, it is widely accepted by people and churches. Scientists began to challenge this model until Aristotle's era. Advances in technology and theory, and a heliocentric model began to form and reacted strongly to the church.

In 1514, Copernicus laid the foundation of his sun-centered universe while rotating the other sun-centered and all other planets, including the Earth. Fearing the revenge from the Catholic church, he quiet the theory. It took 39 years to publish the main manuscript of his theory.

Nicolaus Copernicus developed a cosmological sun center model that places the sun in the center of the universe, not the earth. For the Catholic Church this is actually shocking news that they believe they are a threat to the authority of the faith system of their belief system - including the Earth in the center of authority -. They did not address the facts about the situation, but they attacked Messenger. Copernicus was very concerned about the heretic hearing that he postponed his research until the death of 1543. Giordano Bruno chased Copernicus and was burned. Galileo was arrested before dying

In 1610, Galileo Galilei published his observations of planetary movement. He supported Copernicus's heliocentric theory. The earth and other planets go around the sun. In 1616, the Inquisitor asserted that solar center theory is heretical. In 1633, Galileo was officially heard by the Inquisition Office and was admitted that "the suspicion of the heretic is strong." He was sentenced to life imprisonment and was forced to give up and was arrested until his death in 1642. From 1758 to 1555, the Catholic Church abandoned the general ban on books promoting the solar-centered theory. The church came to defend Galileo only in the 1990s.
