Tracking Cacciato is about the youth's emotional trip during the Vietnam War. A young soldier visited Paris on an imaginary journey to find the soldier Cacciato who left the army. In the story, the reader learned about the difficulties and confusion facing a group of American soldiers. Especially the soldier is Paul Berlin. Since war is traumatic, Berlin must remain wise by imagination in order to improve the life during the war. Berlin has developed a character called Cacciato. In this book, Berlin left his army and led the reader through an exciting journey to find Cacciato who traveled to Paris. The main function of Cacciato in the novel is to let Paul Berlin escape from the real war and imagine another life other than war.
