The Guest by Albert Camus

Dar was a teacher living in remote areas of Algeria, suddenly struggled between responsibility and what he thought was right when he was forced into an unexpected situation. He must escort the Arab prisoners to the nearest town. Dal does not much sympathize with this guy; indeed he actually did not actually know that he would not like Arabs to destroy so many people's lives. Unfortunately, the French and Algerian natives are confused, but I still love his country. And I can not bear to leave.

The contemporary work I chose was the "guest" of Albert Camus. I chose this work because I think it is easy to relate to the sense of isolation for which the character Daru is directed. The political theory and psychology of this article is self-evident, because it plays an important role in character's behavior in solitude. In my opinion, the title is "guest", which means that Daru does not know that there are multiple people. The main character Daru can be regarded as a person with self-righteousness, trust, heart. Caring for his prisoner and his behavior made me feel he was doing the right thing to help people.

If you can be punished for not doing anything, you may be grateful for the irony of Albert Camus of "The Guest". This story embodies the view on Camu's absurdism, especially the meaning of existence. Absurdism refers to philosophical exploration of meaning and can not find meaning. In the case of "guest", the principal who did not want to choose both sides in the conflict was in an unstable position due to lack of action; this is an ironic part of the story. The environment is important, but the existence of irony is particularly surprising at the end.
