With the rapid development of electronic commerce in India, the number of disputes related to online transactions is increasing. The existing dispute settlement mechanism could not meet business growth and customer expectations. The traditional reward system requires the existence of parties and is not synchronized with the modern online platform. The Indian government's consumer bureau focuses on this plan and plans to set up an online consumer dispute resolution platform that follows best practices in the field of e-commerce around the world. Online dispute resolution (ODR) in India has just started and is becoming increasingly prominent. With the promulgation of India's "Information Technology Law" in 2000, e-commerce and e-Government were officially and legally approved in India. Even traditional Indian arbitration law has been re-enacted, and India has established the Arbitration Arbitration Act 1996 in order to meet the unified standard of UNCITRAL model now. The amendment introduced in the Code of Civil Procedure by introducing Article 89 in 1908 was aimed at providing alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in India.
