The Government's Options in Reforming the House of Lords

The government has seven options when the government reform government of the House of Peers decides how to fill the House of Lords and who fills it. The House of Lords is the Senate of the British bicameral parliament that began in the 11th century. The House's role in the government is to cooperate with the House, to enact legislation, to consider government actions and to challenge (the Senate has no veto) and provide independent capabilities. First, in 1999, Prime Minister Labor Party Tony Blair reformed the House of Representatives. For centuries, the House of Lords was made up of members of the successor's seat, but the bill precluded this right.

Further reforms to the House of Lords have been proposed; however, many do not support the reform. Members of the House of Lords have noble titles or come from clergy. 26 Archbishop of the English Church and Bishop are Archbishop of Spiritual, Archbishop of Canterbury, Archbishop of York, Archbishop of York, Bishop of London, Bishop of Durham, Bishop of Winchester, and 21 of the longest bishops. The retired archbishop and other specific bishops were usually appointed as crossbenches and acquired nobles of life. Until 2009, 12 appeals judges served as the Supreme Court in the District of the House, and afterwards became the judge of the newly established British Supreme Court. Currently, 786 people are sitting in the House of Lords, 92 of whom are hereditary, 26 are bishops or archbishops (the spirit of the lower house), and the rest are members of their lives. Membership is not fixed, it only reduces the death of a colleague of life
