As one of the most critically discussed works of American literature in the 20th century, "Rotating Spiral" has inspired various critical interpretations since its publication in 1898. Until 1934, this book was regarded as a traditional ghost story. However, Edmund Wilson immediately challenged this viewing on the view that Ghost Vision is a psychological study of an unstable tutor, which is merely a delusion, "Spiral Turn". Wilson 's paper still caused a critical debate about the interpretation of the novel (Poupard 313).

The rationality of "turning the screw" of Henry James' tutor's story actually goes around as to whether the reader believes that ghosts may be present. Strangely, because of these events, tutoring does not look afraid, but she seems to be fascinated by her work. She wants children to be protected from the negative effects of ghosts. Taking care of a child and seeing a ghost, the ghost is not the word that I told the children I was watching but I pay more attention to this.

Through a short story "Rotating Henry James," the tutor continues to encounter ghosts that only appear in her. As my behavior at my school worsened, he could not return and when Flora became sick with fever, the tutor blamed the ghosts with the erosion of children, Miles and Flora, and let them die in life I marked it as evil. And manipulate the force. - This short novel entitled 'Voice of the Cat' is a modern allegory. The definition of a fable is a simple story including an animal character that a large and strong animal is defeated by a weaker character or deceived. The modern allegory is a kind of fables that occur in the present age. The short story of James Thurber will be held in New York in the 1940's. Many of the allegories I wrote earlier are very similar to "Catbird Seat" on fables.
