The Future Leaders Academy helps Latino students achieve their dreams

Future leaders' college is a comprehensive pre-course course for Latin students in Manatee and Sarasota County.

Janathan Bruzon, who is part of the Riverview High School program, says: "As a first generation, my parents had none of the experience with university processes.

The Latin population of Sarasota and Manatee has increased by 350% over the past seven years. The goal is to have more people in the university.

Citizens Academy is targeted at adult leaders in the Latin community and offers small universities for high school students and young people. Youth colleges are held in English, but adult colleges are conducted in Spanish or English and Spanish, and you can work with Latin community leaders with limited English skills.
