The Functionalist View of the Family

Functionalists are undoubted about families, functionalism helps the general understanding of families Even if you do not think the functionalist's view is correct, it simply plays a role in the subject of sociology. There is a view of Marxism contradictory to the family. Functionalistic view of society assumes that each society has a series of basic needs. Functionalists will say that society will play a role if these needs are fulfilled and that chances of survival over time will increase.

In the United States today, it seems to have a major functionalist view of the family. The functionalist view of these families is also seen as a fundamental cause of many social problems (crime rate, economics, education, etc.). It is proposed that regaining a more stable family structure in politic and other various organizations is a solution to many social problems. I do not think this position is correct. The purpose of this paper is to define the wide range that constitutes the "family" at the present moment and how the various elements play a role in society as a whole. Functionalists believe that the family system is the best organizational foundation for society.
