The Free Will Debate

The unique ability needed to allow each person to control their behavior is called free will. Free will is directly related to two other important philosophical issues, freedom of movement and moral responsibility. That is the main reason for discussion. Briefly, a person with free will is an individual's ability to select a policy of action. However, since animals seem to be suitable for this approach, free will is generally considered to be only human, discussion is increasing further (Broad 1990).

Discussion of free will is classified / marked in most cases as a discussion between "free will and determinism". This means that if determinism is incompatible with free will (if it is the case), it just needs to indicate that determinism does not necessarily apply, so that automatic possibilities are automatically opened That was a misunderstanding. In other words, when someone opposes free will, many people return to the idea that the universe may not be deterministic, denying this free will becomes their free will and savior. In the philosophical world, the concept that uncertainty contributes to liberation of free will is called free will of liberals (not to be confused with economic / political standpoint). On the other hand, people who accept determinism but still believe in free will be called compatible, and in most cases do this through a defined shift of the term "free will".

Today, the discussion between the certainty of quantum mechanics, non - deterministic, unknown interpretation is still vibrant. The problem is that uncertainty seems to open doors to at least free will if we simply call the framework of free will simply as "free will and determinism." However, as many philosophers today tend to resolve determinism and uncertainty with free will, we recommend marking "free will, determinism / non-determinism". The fact that these terms need to be clarified to this extent means that the discussion framework using these terms disrupts the water in the discussion.
