The First Amendment

For many years America has been built on freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of choice, freedom of worship, freedom to do whatever you want within the law. American law is aimed at protecting and protecting these liberties. The first amendment guarantees the freedom of religion, speech, news, assembly and petition. It assures the citizen that the federal government should not restrict freedom of worship. It forbids Congress in particular to set up an official church to support the government.
