When three partners opened the first Starbucks this year it was 1971. The company was originally a local roaster, selling whole grains and coffee powder. As the business grew, I gained inspiration from the Italian cafe tradition. Italian cafe is a place of conversation and community, middle of family and work. This experience is what Starbucks would like to bring to the United States. They found their niche. After that, Starbucks developed rapidly, opened several stores all over the country, and the world opened stores soon shortly thereafter.
