The Fight for Freedom

"Freedom for Freedom" is a 1908 Western movie, probably by D. W. Griffith's director. It was filmed in Shadyside, New Jersey in June 1908 [1]. This film was released on 17th July 1908.

This movie is held in a small town on the border with Mexico. Poker games are held at a local salon. The name of the Mexican who was mocked by one player and shot by another player was Pedro. Pedro was injured when he left the salon because of the aftermath. The sheriff was summoned and he followed Pedro to his house, but Pedro also killed the sheriff. When Pedro was hidden, his wife, Juanita, was arrested for allegedly killing the sheriff. Pedro rescued her from the prison in the town and the two went to the Mexican border. They were caught by the team before reaching the border, Juanita was killed, and Pedro was arrested at the end of the movie and brought back to town.

This film is said to have been supervised by Griffith, but the American Association of Films has not confirmed this. [2] "freedom of war" was released only three days after his first directorial work "Dolly Adventures" was published, and other films attributed to his other film "daughter of Tavern Keeper" It was done. Mutoscope and Biograph are known for their short shooting time, but despite Griffith's involvement in film production, it is possible that they were actually being told by other people. [3] [4]
