As an American, we are extremely grateful for all the rights and privileges we have in the world. The very important right we receive is that everyone is treated equally regardless of skin color, sex, race. What is the cause of this situation? Rosa Park and other people sacrificed our lives and made us even today. The day when Rosa Parks refused to act as a white man in a bus, the day the world saw this behavior. This is when African Americans decide to change.

Almost a century later, women in our own region across the country are fighting for equal rights. They demand an equal wage for equal work. They are marching on the street to protest the government's attempt to control what they do to their bodies. They are climbing to protect their families from state and federal bullying
