This paper studies and analyzes the two horrible Gothic stories of British writer Elizabeth Gaskell (1810-1865). Old nurse story (1852) and poor Claire (1857). It shows how mysterious supernatural expressions can be used as imagination to express and explore the hidden depths of women's mind through the use of Gothic novels of the Victorian era (1837-1901) Method.
