The Fall of the American Dream in The Great Gatsby

The roar of the 1920s was an era of decadence and infinite possibilities. America's dream is what everyone is anxious about. Essentially, "American dream" means that anyone who is talented and hardworking can achieve this goal. Money, affectionate spouse, and identity all show that people have succeeded in life, an important point for American dream characters of "great Gatsby". Many of them worked hard to achieve "dreams" in their own way, but the twisted ideals of love, wealth and class led to the collapse of American dreams of "great Gatsby" .

"Great Gatsby" is a wonderful depiction of social corruption and the collapse of American dreams. "The Great Gatsby" shows how people can get in the hands of money, greed, power and can get what they want and what they want to participate in illegal activities.
