One problem faced by Americans is inequality among men and women in daily life and occupational atmosphere. The Equal Wage Act of 1963 brought an equal step signed by President John F. Kennedy. This law is the first law that affected women's employment opportunities and allows women to work in areas traditionally dominated by men. Outside, it sounds like an error free solution, but it is not.

In 1963, in the United States, employers obliged employers to pay the same amount to men and women at the same job. In 1970, the UK passed the Equal Wage Act for Equal Labor. In 1973, British women entered the stock exchanges for the first time. Since 1975, women 's pregnancy has been accused of being illegal. Also in 1975, the Gender Discrimination Act stipulated discrimination against women in employment, education and training was illegal. In 1984, the new law called for equal wages for work of equal value.

Like the United States, the UK has worked hard to deal with the gender wage disparity for many years. The United States passed the "Equal Payment Law" in 1963 and the UK established the "Equal Payment Law" in 1970.
