Age of Enlightenment opens the door to independent thought and development in the fields of mathematics, astronomy, politics, and philosophy. At the end of the age of enlightenment, a romantic era was born to protest the idea that enlighten brought to society. The two periods are built around more independent thinking and growth, but enlightenment is in contrast to the romantic era. These two periods differ in nearly all respects, but they include, but are not limited to:
The 18th and 19th centuries were defined as Romanticism and the Victorian era. The romantic era was between 1780 and 1850, characterized by enlightenment. On the other hand, the Victorian era is between 1837 and 1901. The Victorian era is characterized by cultural reform, industrial reform, elegant life, war, progress in science, and poverty. As controversial, the 18th and 19th centuries can be defined as Romanticism and the Victorian era. Romanticism and Victorian women 's lives are mainly focused on family dedication. As they are considered clean and pure, they can not be used for physical activity and their bodies are not decorated with jewels (Mary 123). They are also not used for things like happy sex. According to Victorian masculinity, their most important role is to lean towards the house and children, unlike men.
Beginning in Western Europe in the 18th century, the romantic era is an era when personal sensitivity and freedom increase. In the field of poetry, the era of romanticism tells the end of prose. This era showed an increase in decorative and metaphorical language, and a broader and more comprehensive range of poem influences. One of the most famous poets of this era is British writer William Blake. Blacks are often seen by many scholars as founder of romantic poetry. Born in the 1757 Enlightenment era, Black is trying to differentiate it from a formal and integrated style of the same era. Black clearly knows the intentional change in spelling in his poems, and the symbolic nature in poetry and the pioneering use of exploration, revealing social perception of today's romantic poetry.
Romantic poetry is a romantic poetry, movement of art, literature, music, knowledge that started in Europe at the end of the 18th century. It included response to general enlightenment of the 18th century and continued from 1800 to around 1850. I have said that poetry is a voluntary overflow of strong emotions. It arises from recall of emotions in silence. Emotions are taken into account through reactions and silence gradually disappears. Before the theme of contemplation, it gradually emerges, and it actually exists in the mind.
