When you think about a soldier you will think of a strong and polite man in a beautiful uniform that will help protect our country. In Harry Brown's article "What is War?" Recent warfare syndrome includes the Gulf War Syndrome which was mainly experienced by American and British soldiers fought in the 1991 Gulf War. War may also have a major impact on the health of civilians. Hydrogen bombs in Japanese cities in Hiroshima and Nagasaki killed thousands and gave a bad direct shock. They also have a long-term impact on the population. Radiation injuries and birth defects in children have been occurring long before the bomb was destroyed.
