Influence of treatment level on memory PB1: Determine the purpose of the study and state the experimental / alternative hypothesis. (Received in the report's tagging scheme) shows the effect of various processing levels on memory. "People who deeply process information (meaningful processing) tend to remember more easily than people who shallowly process information (ie visual processing)."
The processing level takes into consideration not only the rehearsal but also the influence of processing, and it details the detailed processing, organization, identity, and refinement. The processing level provides a way to improve memory reference information. The argument against this theory is who will define the depth of processing. In addition, if semantic processing yields better reproduction, semantic processing must be deeper and leads to better reproduction, so it is a circular discussion. Memory is a complex system and many other psychologists are trying to find insights about how we store information. Multi-store model Even if you were a very basic and simple model, it is the first attempt to understand memory and start a future psychologist somewhere. The Atkinson and Shiffrins (1978) model does not explain why information does not require rehearsal, but still encoded in our memory.
Since Fergus Craik and Robert Lockhart are critical of the memory interpretation provided by the multi store model, in 1972 I came up with another explanation of the level of processing effect. According to this model, memory is not in three stores, instead the strength of the memory trace depends on the quality of treatment or rehearsal of stimulation. In other words, the more you think about things, the more you will remember them (Craik & Lockhart, 1972). Craik and Lockhart distinguish between two processes occurring at observation, shallow and deep. Shallow processing considering the overall appearance and sound usually forget the stimulus. This explains why we can walk a lot of people on the street during our commute in the morning but do not remember the face during the lunch break.
