Andrew Eisenberg said, "Bison's destruction is not only the result of human activities but also the result of the interaction between human society and the dynamic environment." Bison has been around since 10,000 years ago. Their ancestors were called huge bison, they were chased by ancient Indians of the Bering Strait. But a huge bison was extinct because ancient Indians hunted them and most of the vegetation they had at the end of the last ice age was destroyed.

Losing Buffalo at the Great Plains is not a big threat to the survival of the Indians, not for the American army. American Indians use bison as fuel, shelter, clothing, food supply source. Bison's destruction is not a federal policy, but the military commander approved this practice as a way to weaken the important aspects of Indian life. In addition, hunters are hired along the railroad to kill wild animals, while providing food for workers crossing the railroad tracks. After the completion of the railway settlers used a charter car to shoot the bison. As of 1975, they killed millions of bisons and offered materials for eastern peel. After 10 years, the species of Bison has become extinct. This situation is exacerbated by abandonment of the nomadic lifestyle. As a result, the Indians have no choice but to accept the residence (McNickle 52)
