The use of technology and the way we communicate change over time. In this research, I will explore how to describe communication in movies and the gender and time difference in such communication. The sampling frame consists of the best box office movies from 1972 to the present. This data supports the idea that there is more technology-based communication in the movie. This movie technique draws more men than women. In addition, when women interface with technology, women use technology for higher personal utilization rates, but men tend to use technology for commercial purposes. We believe that gender differences in the use of technologies depicted in movies form personal and social concepts related to technology for appropriate sexual roles. Importantly, this research supports constructivist technical theories in society and shows how images and information can create specific technical perceptions and their use.
