Some people say that the definition of independence is a complex word and idea to define. Actually, independence is a misleading word trying to define. This is because everyone has their own ideas about independence. Few people have the same view on the definition of independence. The definition of our independence may be different, but I am convinced that everyone has instinctive and independent needs. For me, true self-reliance always means living in nature, growing with my own food, and relying on ourselves. When I was a child I grew up in my village, the farm slowly disappeared and headed for a new building. As the village grew into a small town, the field advanced further to make room for the increase of the population. We are getting more and more from our land and food and eventually lose the ability to grow for ourselves. It took me years to get back what I lost when I was young. This impulse to reconnect with nature and have a feeling of freedom accompanying it prompted me to move to a remote community around the world learning about various agricultural techniques and other lifestyles.
