The French Revolution is the era when France experienced many changes, many of which can be regarded as revolutionary. The whole system and its mode of existence in France have changed fundamentally. Please give me new ideas everyday. The idea is revolutionary when ideas have never been considered. In September 1791, the "women's rights declaration" by Olympe de Gouges was an idea submitted to the National Assembly (Hunt, Web 1). The document states that as the French Revolution was seeking equality for everyone, women should be equal to men and therefore have the same rights as men.
"Declaration of human rights and citizenship", "declaration of women's rights" and "female citizen" got ideas from political philosopher Charles Luis de Rente, Road Montesquieu, Jean Jacques Rousseau. . These are the two most influential philosophers of the eighteenth century. Montesquieu is a lawyer, an aristocrat of the robe, a member of the local level (Kagan, 603). Montesquieu supports the government's decentralization. He feels that freedom can only be found in the gentle government (Kagan, 604). Montesquieu divides the government into three different types of power: administrative officials who rely on legislation, national law, and administrative staff concerning dependency on civil law.
Abolitionists in the 19th century (and later leaders of women's rights and civil rights) believed that the high legal principles of the Declaration are the true foundations of freedom and equality. In 1833, William Garrison detailed the purpose of the American anti-slavery association, stating that freedom is a force majeure and at the same time it is a right granted from God. He speculates that denying another freedom infringes "the law of nature" and constitutes "excessive infringement of all God's commandments." He finished the same declaration by affirming the two basic documents of movement, namely the Declaration of Independence and the Bible. The garrison criticized the constitution for compromising slavery, especially one-fifth compromise. He believes this is betrayal of republicanism and Christianity.
