The Crusades

In the 11th century, the crusades of the 12th and 13th centuries not only had a serious impact on Western culture but also brought about the worst shame in the history of the Church to date. Unbelievers, skeptics, atheists use this time to insult and contempt Christian's world. We can not regain these sad behavior as believers. Do not try it. But what we can do is to try to understand the origin, existence and conclusion of the crusade. With this understanding, we hope that we can gain grace and wisdom that we can share with others, and that we will at last achieve what the Crusade is about to do.

History of the West and the Eastern mostly showed various views on the Crusaders as the Crusaders caused a series of associations that the Crusaders extremely opposed - the Crusaders are the greatest cause of the heroic struggle - the "Crusades Crusade", barbarous And synonymous with aggression. This totally different view is not recent, as Christians had "fought against enemies" and "faced another cheek" in the past due to military tension and the teaching of Christ. For these reasons, even the contemporaries, the Crusaders are controversial.

During the twelfth century the crusaders often hired mercenaries to fight during the Crusades. As Crusades are considered religious, mercenaries must be baptized before being placed in the holy ground. But when they drowned, mercenaries put their swords on the water to symbolize that their swords are one thing they would not surrender to Jesus. Please do not distort my words. I grew up in the South and are familiar with American gun culture. I do not suggest that American citizens should not have the right to choose whether they would like to own a gun. Instead, as a Christian - what should we do?
