The Crucible - Was The Mass Hysteria Necessary?

The Crucible has many meaningless behaviors. The crucible is designed to let the reader know that the group of people think they are judging fair groups of people's groups fairly. Jason Hawthorn believes that there is no evidence that some people speak the truth to him. A young girl in Abigail convinced Hawthorn and the other to be a wizard, so Abigail was able to get what she wanted, John Procter, and Abigail did not threaten the girl .

Kruger is exploring how large hysteria can destroy the community. Hysteric symptoms were most clearly seen by unjust acceptance of magical argument by villagers.
