Stony Brook is a fictional suburban town in Connecticut. It is the home of many characters of Baby-Sitters Club series and Baby-Sitters Little Sister collection. The real life village of Stony Brook in New York is located on the north bank of Long Island, across the Long Island Sound of Connecticut. Stony Brook's famous public schools include Stony Brook Elementary School, Stony Brook Middle School, Kelsey Middle School, and Stony Brook High School. Private schools include Stoneybrook College (Karen Brewer and some other students) and Stoneybrook Day School. There, associate member Shannon Kilbourne was present.

If you have never read BSC's books, this series will be as follows. Four girls opened the club where the baby is sitting. Their membership base is expanding rapidly (7 girls and 2 associate members). They regard them as legitimate businesses. They are super organized and love their children. Every girl has different interests and talents. The book is written in first person, but each book includes adventures of two or three baby clubs from other club members. These books have several plots - usually moral lessons that combine A plot (the subject of this book, usually the title), the B picture that features a BSC client, and both. There are 15 chapters in each book, the second chapter is for club members. The babysitter will hold a meeting three times a week. This is explained in detail in this book about this. They insist that they are best friends, but girls usually only talk with their best friends outside the conference hours.
