The Cranes

Peter Meinke's "The Cranes" seems like a simple love story about an old couple who remembers their own life, but when you look closely you will see the darkness of love. The story takes place after an elderly couple parked in the bay to see some birds. When they were looking at the birds, they found a crane for two hundred days. With their conversation and observation of birds, Mainke revealed the details of the couple and the crane. Thus the couple seen in the story symbolizes their rare, eternal love and their last moment.
