The Controversy Surrounding Stem-cell Research

Stem cell research is a complex topic. First of all, we need to understand that there are three main types of stem cells. Embryos, fetuses, and adults; not everyone supports or opposes all of these types. Each type has different strengths and weaknesses. We will solve a few questions about each type. I believe these benefits are superior to these benefits, and stem cell research is very beneficial for medical purposes. There are many controversies regarding stem cell research. Stem cells are less different cells and therefore can be used to produce other types of daughter cells. Stem cell research is the use of cells from fetus miscarried to produce research on bone, nerve or heart tissue through specific techniques that stimulate cell proliferation. The tissue can then be transplanted into a patient in need thereof by replacing damaged cells. Cells can also be harvested from embryos produced in culture dishes, especially for stem cell research. Much of the controversy surrounding stem cell research is centered around methods of obtaining stem cells. Currently, there are two major technologies available to them. The first is to separate the cells directly from the inner cell mass of the human embryo at the blastocyst stage; although effective, it kills the embryo. The second way to separate stem cells is to remove the stem cells from the fetal tissue that ends the pregnancy. Many of the embryos used for stem cell research are left out of a process called in vitro fertilization (IFV). Throughout the IFV process, many eggs are taken from women and then fertilized, and some eggs are returned to their mothers. Excess embryos are stored frozen in case the initial fertility treatment fails. Parents can then choose to donate the remaining embryos for stem cell research.
